Using the Map Snapshot Tool
Map Snapshot
Snapshot allows you to take snapshots of what is viewed in the browser, and export them to PDF reports. With Map Snapshot, you will get a much cleaner image than using the standard browser screenshots or snipping tools. Map Snapshot eliminates any function displays or open cards and tables on the view and retrieves a clean image of the model. The image is then downloaded into a PDF report, indicating the project name, instance, and reporting date. You can easily share the PDF report with stakeholders who do not have access to the DatuBIM platform, or use it for documenting legal claims.
To take a snapshot of the map view you are looking at simply press the Snapshot tool, which is located in the Viewer toolbar at the top right. (See image below.)
This will start the process of generating the report. The following message will inform you that the report is being generated and automatically downloaded when ready.
Once ready, the standard notification appears on the bottom left corner of your browser. You may click on it to view the report right in the browser or find it later in your standard download folder.
Here is an example of a Snapshot pdf report.
