Create Measurements & Analytics from Design Items

DatuBIM is all about making your data work for you. With this new, cutting-edge capability, your design files become more actionable than ever. A simple right-click on your design file items lets you take measurements or analytics directly from the design.

Depending on the selected design element, DatuBIM automatically shows you the measurement or analytics types you can choose from, such as point, distance, cross-section, or volume.

This new capability will save you a lot of time, whether you run calculations to compare design to the as-built for quality assurance or check bills from your sub-contractors. Using design elements also eliminate mistakes that might occur from manual drawing areas or lines.

Create a New Annotation with an Imported Image

A picture is worth a thousand words. When visiting your construction site, you are likely to turn to your smartphone or tablet to take images for documentation. Now, these images stop living in a silo on your device. Import images to DatuBIM as annotations! The platform automatically pins the annotation based on the image GPS location, so make sure to have GPS enabled.

The choice is yours: If you are using a tablet, you can easily import the images on the go while inspecting your site. Photos from your mobile phone will need to be downloaded to your computer before importing to DatuBIM. This is a great option when you take a series of images and choose the best one when back in the office.

Easier Drawing of Lines and Polygons for Measurements & Analytics

You drew a line or polygon, but see that it needs some adjustments. Now you can make your edits and adjust points in lines and polygons without starting any calculations. Once you finished editing, click done, and start the recalculation of your measurements and analytics.

Populating your Site with Design Files and Annotation Before the first Flight

Now, as soon as you create a new site, you can start adding design files and make annotations! This means you can cooperate with team members on issues of the site before the first flight or while the flight is still being processed.

“Go to Coordinates” Navigation Tool

The ease of use is always a top priority for us. With this new feature on the Navigation toolset, you can shift your map view to a specific point by entering coordinates. This feature is very beneficial if someone communicates with you about a particular location of interest.

Measurement Details on Top for Tablets

We keep on investing in your improved user experience on tablets. This tablet-only feature lets you toggle between side navigation or calculation detail box on top. This feature optimizes the small screen, and both essential details you need in your work are just a finger touch away.

Minor Fixes and Improvements

We made minor UI improvements, fixed bugs, and resolved usability issues.
